The project funded by Christian Aid seeks to address the recommendations of the phase 1 through securing the gains achieved and reinforcing sustainability systems and mechanisms. Phase 2 will also inculcate anticipatory action through capacity building and awareness creation. The project will intentionally draw and document lessons from both phases to inform future anticipatory action programming. The main strategies include: Documentation of lessons learnt and missing voices: The project will document lessons learnt to inform future anticipatory action intervention and capture silent voices from the hidden poor and marginalised. Capacity building: Strengthening district and community-level DRR plans and building capacity for anticipatory action. Knowledge sharing: Organizing knowledge fairs to link farmers with private sector actors and strengthening farmers’ platforms for information sharing. Water infrastructure management: Reviewing and strengthening water systems and building the capacity of women to maintain and manage water infrastructure. This will be further supported through robust insurance system to transfer risk from the communities.
