LDS is dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities by supporting communities in building resilience and achieving long-term economic stability through climate-smart agriculture practices and micro-enterprise development. We can create sustainable livelihoods, empower individuals, and ensure a better future for all
objectives
Gender Justice: We believe in equality and fairness for all. Through our gender justice initiatives, we work to transform power dynamics between men and women. This leads to greater access to economic resources and the empowerment of women and girls. When women and girls have a voice in decision-making at home and in the community, it creates a more respectful and inclusive society.
Social Justice: We promote inclusivity, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance in the communities we serve. Our projects aim to change perceptions, attitudes, and behaviours among community members. By fostering cohesion and reducing conflicts, we create harmonious communities that embrace diversity and different perspectives.
Health and Wellbeing: We prioritise the health and wellbeing of adolescents. Our programs ensure that adolescents have access to accurate information, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Additionally, we support their psycho-social wellbeing, helping them thrive in all aspects of life.
Disaster and Emergency Response: We are committed to swiftly responding to disasters and emergencies. In these times of crises, we uphold the rights of affected communities, ensuring their needs are met and their dignity is respected
